Minimizing Risk and Handling Disputes

 

Who Should Attend
Local public agency employees, consultants and representatives who supervise or
manage construction projects, including but
not limited to project managers, project
engineers, senior agency staff, construction
managers, architects, and attorneys.
Scope of
Workshop
In addition to reviewing many of the legal
requirements for public works in California for local public agencies, this workshop will emphasize techniques for minimizing risk before and during construction projects, as well as how to better manage construction disputes. Learn lessons from problematic projects of the past so history does not repeat itself.
Speaker

Arne Sandberg, Esq., of Lozano Smith in San Ramon, has presented numerous times for AWPA through workshops and presentations at the annual Public Works Conference.

He has spent the last 15 years representing public agencies, with the last 12 years focusing on public works disputes, litigation and general advice throughout the state.
