For the 11th year we are proud to present Public Works Conference 2007 a conference designed to bring Public Works Professionals (supervisors, managers, engineers, field crews and consultants) the latest developments in street and sewer engineering and maintenance, technology, management and career development. We all have had to deal with hiring freezes, layoffs and budget issues which have made our jobs more difficult and stressful. However, the need to plan, build and maintain our infrastructure continues. This conference gives us the opportunity to train our professionals to stretch budgets and service our clients – the community – in more efficient effective ways.

Public Works Conference 2007 will include over 24 separate presentations plus over a dozen agencies and vendors available to answer questions about Public Works services. Six separate subject areas will be represented - Sewers, Maintenance/Safety, Street/Road, Engineering/Management, Water and Flood - allowing attendees to choose among a variety of presentations. And, thanks to our volunteers, the price is less than half what other organizations charge.

Public Works Conference 2007 is unique. It is planned by a Volunteer Committee (see below) of Bay Area Public Works practitioners from small cities, counties, water districts, sanitary districts, and consulting experts who understand the training needs of their peers. Seminar presentations focus on successful, practical ideas that work. Our speakers are selected for their expertise and real-world experience. That’s why attendance increases every year.
